Yes. Matcha is a type of green tea and all teas naturally contain caffeine. A cup of coffee yields about 80-200 mg of caffeine per serving while a cup of matcha has only 70 mg. Matcha also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which produces a calming and relaxing effect. So drinking matcha green tea is both a stimulant and relaxant, perfect for focusing on work, mediation, exercise or play without the jitters you can get from drinking coffee.

Once opened, use within 2 to 4 weeks for maximum freshness and best taste.
Traditional utensils include a bamboo whisk, tea sifter, ceramic tea bowl and tea scoop. If you can choose only one, we recommend starting with the bamboo whisk, which froths the tea in the bowl and brings out the delicate flavor profiles of matcha.
